Opus at Global Conference

21.11.2008

Personnel from Opus are to deliver a technical paper at a prestigious industry conference in Malaysia this week.

James Carnell, Opus' Senior Process Engineer will present the paper at TUV NEL's Produced Water - Best Management Practices conference.

The event is taking place at the Hotel Imperial, in Kuala Lumpur, from Tuesday, November 25, to Thursday, November 27.

Opus' paper - The Contribution of Fluid Dynamics Modelling to Achieve Robust Process Systems Performance - is co-authored by Tim Newton, Development Engineer, and will provide attendees with information on the methods and tools used by Opus to carry out the design and optimisation of separation, produced water treatment and associated systems.

The presentation will focus in particular on outlining the benefits of using Visual Dynamic Modelling (VDM) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling to troubleshoot and maximise the performance of existing processes.

James says he is looking forward to the conference, which he feels will provide Opus with the opportunity to network within the South-east Asian and Middle-east markets, and meet with key industry personnel in the region.

James said: "We always benefit from participating in conferences, as they allow us to promote our approach to process optimisation and design through the provision of technical papers and presentations.

"This type of event provides an excellent platform which we can use to raise awareness of the added value that Opus offers."
